Malawi is like none other in Africa: small, yet with an immense diversity of scenery and a vast inland sea.  It has all the prized features such as sun-drenched beaches and sparkling palm-fringed water as well as scuba diving, rock climbing, mountain biking and other adventures.  As you visit the Warm Heart of Africa, you are bound to leave part of your heart.

Lake  Malawi

Malawi is a country of startling contrasts.  Landlocked it is a nation of fisherman, one fifth of the country being taken up by Lake Malawi, the third largest fresh water lake in Africa and ninth largest in the world. Trapped in the Great Rift Valley, it laps like an inland sea at the foot of wooden escarpment hills in a setting of hounding beauty. lake malaw

It was designated as the World’s first fresh water National Park in 1980 and a World Heritage Site in 1984 to protect the diversity of marine life, most of which is endemic. It encompasses a wide variety of scenery ranging from the wooded rocky mountains slopping down to the shores of the lake to sandy coves and beaches. Its clear bluewaters are popular for snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking and swimmin.
