DEPOSITING OF THE REVISED KYOTO CONVENTION BY MALAWI

The Ambassador of Malawi deposited to the World Customs Organisation (WCCO) Secretary General, Mr.  Kunio Mikuriya, the instrument of accession to the International Convention on the Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures (Revised Kyoto Convention - RKC) on Friday, 6th September, 2013.

During the presentation ceremony, the Ambassador informed the Secretary General of Malawi’s gratitude to be the 91st member of WCCO to deposit the Instrument. She further informed him of Malawi’s commitment to invest in and develop trade policies that will ensure that Malawi is competitive in international trade. She also urged WCCO to continue supporting Malawi in the areas of trade facilitation, capacity building as well as enhancement of the country’s competitiveness.

Commissioning of Mr. Daniel Dank as the Malawi Honorary Consul in Eupen

On Thursday 6th February, 2014, H.E Dr. Brave Ndisale presented an Exequatur to Mr. Daniel Dank, Malawi's Honorary Consul in Eupen, Belgium.  During the function, Ambassador Ndisale briefed Mr. Dank about his responsibilities as a new Honorary Consul for Malawi.  She stressed on the importance of promoting Malawi's economic ties with Belgium particularly in the German speaking region.
