AFRICAN DAY CELEBRATION EVENT:

On 25 May 2026, staff of the Malawi Embassy in Brussels, led by Her Excellency Dr. Naomi Ngwira, Ambassador of the Republic of Malawi to the Kingdom of Belgium, joined fellow Africans in commemorating Africa Day at Tangla Hotel in Brussels.

The event brought together members of the African diplomatic corps, partners, and friends of Africa in celebrating the continent’s unity, culture, and shared aspirations. The commemoration featured inspiring speeches, vibrant African music and dance performances, as well as a rich display of African cuisine.

This year’s celebration was held under the theme: “Water Sustainability: Ensuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063.”

Africa Day serves as an important occasion to reflect on the continent’s progress, strengthen solidarity among African nations, and reaffirm commitment towards sustainable development and prosperity for all Africans.
